Gear for Heroes

Your Heroes can equip Gear to increase their power, customize their abilities, and unlock new strategies. Each Hero has 5 different pieces of gear that only they can use. This means that if you have two different versions of a Batman Hero for example, they will use different pieces of gear.

Artifacts

In addition to these 5 gear slots each character also has a slot to equip a 6th piece of gear called an Artifact. These are powerful items that can be equipped by any character in your roster but only one character can use the item at a time. While any character can equip an Artifact some of the effects of Artifacts will only activate for specific characters. For example an Artifact may have a specific benefit that only affects Might Class characters.

Equipping and Viewing Specific Gear

You can click select a piece of gear on the Hero page and then drag it into the appropriate slot or click Details to see what effects the Gear has. A piece of Gear carries a Base Effect, as well as Chance Effects. Chance Effects add additional randomized effects to that piece of Gear. Additional Chance Effects can be unlocked by leveling up your hero. You can spend Reforge currency to reroll any given Chance Effect for a different bonus. When you reroll a Chance Effect you will be given the option to keep your current Chance Effect or select the newly rolled Chance Effect after it is revealed. Please note that Artifacts do not have Chance Effects and cannot be Reforged.

Shattering Gear

You can also Shatter a piece of Gear that is not equipped by viewing the details page for the Gear piece. Shattering Gear allows you to break a piece of gear into crafting materials. You can then visit the Details page for other Gear you own to use the crafting materials and upgrade your piece of Gear to a more powerful level!

Gear Set Bonuses

As you equip more Gear on your Hero, you will unlock Gear Set Bonuses. These Bonuses will add overall power to your hero, such as additional health and attack power. Gear Set Bonuses activate at 2, 3, and 5 pieces of Gear equipped. You can view the Gear Set Bonuses for a Hero by visiting the Gear selection page for a Hero and then pressing “Gear Set Bonus” at the top-right.
