DC UNIVERSE LEX LUTHOR

A new threat rises from the DC Universe! Lex Luthor from James Gunn's Superman makes his grand entrance into Injustice 2 Mobile. He is a brilliant mastermind who uses LuthorCorp’s immense wealth and influence to bend the world to his will. His cutting-edge tech and loyal Raptors help him stay three steps ahead of the fight, even against Superman! Stream Superman on HBO Max and play as the movie versions of Superman and Lex Luthor now in Injustice 2 Mobile.

Lex Luthor is one of the most unique and mechanically complex characters in the entire roster. His gameplay introduces several new systems that work differently from any other character. Here’s a breakdown:

Funds Instead of Power. Lex Luthor does not spend Power to use his Specials.
He uses Funds, a separate resource used exclusively by him.

  • Lex can still interact with Power through abilities that steal or manipulate Power, but only to benefit his teammates.
  • Since his Specials do not use Power, any Special cost manipulation effects do not affect his or Raptor Specials.
  • Lex also features three unique HUD buttons that let you choose how many Funds to spend when casting his Specials. The higher the Fund tier he selects, the stronger the Special’s effects become.

Raptors Inherit Lex’s attributes. Lex is just a man. He relies on his shield tech to survive and on his army of Raptors to dominate opponents. To make them more impactful, they interact with Lex stats and Artifacts a unique way:

  • Raptors do not have their own base stats, but instead inherit a percentage of all Lex’s basic attributes, rounded down. Basic attributes are all stat values shown on the character card with their corresponding cap limits (Fast Attack Chance cap, Critical Chance cap, etc.). Raptors inherit final attributes (with all the gear effects). The inherited percentage is based on Lex’s passive level.
  • Raptors also inherit Lex Special levels in a 1 to 1 ratio, it does not depend on Lex’s passive level. If Lex has his Special 1 at Level 10, the Raptor’s Special 1 is also Level 10.
  • Lex handles Artifacts in a unique way:
    • Artifact base attributes apply to Lex normally and are also inherited by Raptors.
    • Artifact unique abilities, however, apply only to the Raptors.
    • Example: Jokerized Batarangs (Level 10), Lex Luthor (5 stars - 80% stat inheritance). Poison Debuff is a unique ability that applies only to the Raptor. 3 Fast Attack Hits is a base attribute that applies to Lex, and with the Raptor inheriting a percent of this value. In this example, the Raptor will end up inheriting 4 Fast Attack Hits, though limited by inherited Fast Attacks Cap of 3.
  • Previous to this release, summons could not benefit from team-wide buffs.  They now can! Raptors can receive team-wide buffs, such as Zatanna’s Team Damage Buff. This makes Raptors stronger and more synergistic with different team compositions.

Unique Gear set bonus. Unlike other characters, Lex Luthor 5\5 gear set bonus does not give basic attributes, but instead increases his Fund generation.

MORE LEGENDARY HEROES IN THE INJUSTICE PASS

New Injustice Pass Seasons are here to power up your roster with Legendary Heroes like Lex Luthor, Batman Ninja Gorilla Grodd, Darkseid, Killer Frost, and Collector of Worlds Superman. Battle Legendary Heroes like DC Universe Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, Zatanna, Scarab's Chosen Blue Beetle, and Arkham Knight Batman in new Arena events! Win the match to earn their Legendary Hero Shards alongside standard Arena rewards. Follow us on social for event dates and details.

NEW APOKOLIPS ARTIFACTS

Apokolips set 4 new artifacts:

The original Solo Raid Artifact set just got stronger! Four brand-new Apokolips Artifacts have been added, and the entire set has been rebalanced. The new additions now occupy the S and A tiers, while some older artifacts have shifted down to ensure consistency with other artifacts sets. (Tiers determine passive stat values, their appearance rates in loot pools, and their placement in store offers. Also, higher tier artifacts generally have stronger abilities)

FEATURE REWORK: SOLO-RAIDS & SOLO-RAID VAULTS

Solo Raids have been completely overhauled. Our main goal was to give more freedom in what you play. The mode now uses a season-based system, where you can choose one of three available Solo Raids each month. We also redesigned the reward structure to offer a more consistent, progression-based path by replacing random Artifact drops with the new Vaults and Vault Keys, earned by defeating final bosses. Alongside these changes, this update introduces a variety of quality-of-life improvements and a new seasonal Solo Raid Premium, which streamlines gameplay and adds bonus rewards.

Choose From 3 Solo Raids Each Season:

  • This update introduces a new menu called Hub, which lets you select from three available Solo Raids every season (4 weeks), instead of waiting for a single raid to rotate in.
  • Once you select a raid, the flow remains the same: the selected raid will be locked for 2 weeks for you to play and progress. This means you can play 2 out of 3 available raids per season, choosing the ones you prefer.
  • One of the three raids will always be marked as Featured, offering additional rewards: Hero Shards of the raid’s main boss for defeating them (25 extra shards on Heroic 7).

Training Mode feature:

  • You can now test strategies without spending your precious daily attempts. Training Mode has its own set of attempts per day, 3 total.
  • Training Mode never exhausts characters.  You can use every Hero, even if they’re exhausted in normal attempts.
  • No experience or rewards are earned, and the boss will not retain damage. This game mode is purely for experimentation and practice.

Solo-Raid Vaults & Vault Keys

Vaults are a new type of offer.  While not directly tied to Solo Raids, the first batch debuts as Solo-Raid Vaults.

  • Vault Content: Each thematic Vault includes all 10 artifacts from the set across different levels. Aside from artifacts, the only rewards they contain are solo-raid related items (main boss shards and thematic artifact fragments).
  • Opening Vaults: Use a Solo-Raid Vault Key or purchase a single Vault open directly. Solo-Raid Vault keys are not tied to a specific vault, so you can earn a key in one Raid and then use it on another Raid’s Vault.
  • Earning Vault Keys: Complete a Solo-Raid difficulty or progress through Injustice Passes.
  • Key Limit: You can hold up to 5 keys; any additional keys are automatically converted into 400 Gems upon claiming.
  • Vault Unique Rewards: Each reward in the vault is unique - once obtained, it’s marked and cannot be received again, increasing the chances to get other rewards. (Note: The reward is marked only if received from this specific vault, just having it in your inventory or getting it from another source does not count).
  • Vault Levels: Vaults can be leveled up. Collecting all unique rewards at the current level promotes the vault to the next level, usually with better rewards. Getting all unique rewards on the last level repeats it endlessly. Past and current levels rewards can be inspected in the Vault screen.
  • Permanent Progress: Vault progress is saved permanently. If the Vault leaves the store and returns in a later season, your level and obtained rewards remain.

New Solo-Raid Album

  • A new Album menu helps you track all Solo Raid progress. You can view your completion status for every raid.

Rewards Re-balance

  • Added a Solo-Raid Vault Key for completing each full difficulty (except Normal, which grants 2 keys to help new players). Note: Additional Vault Key on top of these can be earned with Solo-Raid Premium.
  • Removed the Artifact Chest reward for completing a Ladder and the guaranteed Artifact reward for completing the raid.
  • Added thematic Artifact Shards per Ladder clear (+52,500 for a full Heroic 7 clear).
  • Increased the rarity of XP Capsules for Heroic 6 and 7 (now Tier 7 XP Capsules).
  • Increased Gear Reforges for lower difficulties (15 → 50 per Normal difficulty clear).
  • Decreased the amount of earned Credits for Heroic 6 and 7 (approx. 30% reduction).
  • Decreased the amount of earned Gear Material for Heroic 6 and 7 (approx. 30% reduction).

Solo Raid Premium

Solo-Raid Premium is an optional upgrade which offers additional benefits from the time it was purchased till the end of the current Solo Raid season. Each week of the season Solo-Raid Premium gets a discount to account for a shorter period of time it will be active.

Premium Benefits:

  • Raid Reroll: Get up to 2 rerolls per month, which allows you to change an available Raid to a random one not available in the active season, giving you even more chances to play the Raid you desire. Note: featured raid can not be re-rolled.
  • Extra Attempts: Get 8 attempts per day (with the “ad” pip becoming “free”).
  • Additional Rewards: Get an extra Solo-Raid Vault Key per difficulty clear.
  • Free Raid Switching: You are no longer locked to play the same Raid for 2 weeks - you can switch your active Raid to one of the available 3 Raids of the season at any time
  • No Cooldowns on Raids: Get the ability to play the same raid for the whole season.
  • Unlimited Training Mode: Practice specific bosses without consuming Training pips
  • Enhanced Training Tools: Access advanced settings like God Mode, Fast Power, or Passive opponent options. Note: be aware that some abilities may not behave the same way against god mode opponents. (e.g. Raptor accumulated damage does not really stack, since you do not really deal damage)

COMBAT HUD REWORK

This update brings a major overhaul to the Combat HUD, improving clarity, readability, and the overall fighting experience. The old HUD was limited, able to show only 4 total effects at once, often hiding important buffs or debuffs. The new system removes this restriction and introduces several additional UI improvements:

New Icon Layout & Behavior:

  • Icons now appear horizontally, allowing up to 12 buffs/debuffs visible at once
  • To support this expanded layout, icon text descriptions no longer appear automatically, but you can now view them by tapping the icon directly.
  • Many small adjustments were made to different icon values and descriptions. Most of the changes were to ensure abilities display correctly with the new system. The noticeable changes are:
    • More stackable buffs/debuffs now highlight at max stacks (yellow for buffs, red for debuffs).
    • Some missing icon values were added, some icon values were changed to improve clarity. Several icon descriptions were updated.
    • Certain instant-effect icons (that appeared for only fractions of a second) have been removed.
    • Changed the icon logic for certain effects (e.g. Zatanna`s Puppet now can`t spawn more than 5 icons at a time, multiple effects of the same type now “stack” on the same icon).

Updated Health & Power Bars:

  • Health and Power bars have been redesigned for a cleaner look and to free up space for the new icon layout.
  • The hero name area now displays current HP value and percentage instead, giving you more real-time information.
  • Added a Defense Indicator, showing the current defense value that dynamically updates as this value changes.

Improved UI Feedback:

  • Special ability cost is now color-coded: green\red for reduced\increased power cost. The arrows on the power bar follow the same color logic.
  • Additional power gains during combat (e.g. stolen power) will be now highlighted in yellow on the power bar as it is added.
  • The Block button now has a red disabled state when your character is affected by Block Disable.
  • The Supermove related buff no longer appears within the icon list. Instead, after you activate a Supermove, a Supermove buff icon appears directly in the place of a Supermove button, along with more Supermove related information.

QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS

  • Store, new category tabs: The Store has been reorganized into five dedicated tabs: General, Solo Raids, Arena, League, and Free - to make navigation clearer. All Solo-Raid offers, including Vaults, now appear in the Solo Raids tab, free chests and offers have been moved into the new Free tab.
  • Sellback for duplicates of a unique Item: A new sellback mechanic has been added to reward you when receiving duplicates of items you can not obtain. Currently, this applies to Unique Profile Portraits (200 gems) and Solo-Raid Vault Keys (400 gems), complete with a sellback animation upon claiming.
  • Pause Menu: Now displays the name of the game mode you are currently playing.
  • Deck Autofill Switcher: The Autofill toggle in the character card now provides feedback explaining what the button does.
  • Team Cycling: In the Hero upgrade screen, the cycle buttons now rotate only through your current team, not the entire roster. (if entered from the pre-fight menu)
  • XP Capsules screen: Added current/total XP values to the XP Capsule screen.

COMBAT & BALANCE UPDATES

General Balance updates:

  • Classic The Flash: Special 3 now staggers the opponent during its animation.
  • Killer Frost: increased the projectile hitscan range, which shall result in less unexpected misses.
  • Team buffs: now apply to all summons, similar to the behavior added for Raptors.

Bug Fixes:

  • DC Universe Superman: Fixed an issue where teammates could benefit from Superman’s Special 1 incoming damage debuff.
  • DC Universe Superman: Fixed an issue that allowed him to exceed the percentage health damage cap.
  • Killer Frost: Fixed an issue where her ranged attacks and second basic attack combo did not properly stack the damage buff against frozen opponents.

MINOR CHANGES AND BUG FIXES

  • Credits Limit: Added a temporary credits cap of 2,147,483,647. Any credits earned beyond this limit will not be received. This is a temporary solution to prevent potential game-breaking issues for some players.
  • Simultaneous League Raid Fights: Fixed an issue where, if two or more players fought the same League Raid Boss at the same time, one of them could incorrectly trigger cheat detection and receive no rewards.
  • Legendary Character Reward Pools: Added Classic The Flash and Killer Frost
  • Killer Frost: Fixed an issue where freeze-related hit VFX appeared on opponents who were not frozen.
  • Scorpion Claws: Fixed a VFX issue with the gear.
  • Gear Notification: Fixed a bug where the “new gear” notification persisted after shattering the item.
  • Filter Menu Fix: Fixed an issue where the filter menu failed to disappear after re-entering the character screen.

KNOWN ISSUES & UPCOMING JANUARY PATCH - 12/17/25

Greetings Heroes,

Thank you for all the feedback on Update 6.6. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences with us.

We’d like to acknowledge several issues that were introduced in this update that were not intended and are currently high priority for us to fix in a patch in January 2026:

  • Solo Raids: Additional and Premium attempts are not resetting correctly. This will be fixed on December 18 with a server update.
  • Solo Raids: Artifact Fragment rewards are appearing inconsistently across different raids and levels
  • Solo Raids Premium: The ability to use expired Heroes multiple times when switching raids
  • Solo Raid Training Mode: Artifact Passive stats are not applied
  • Solo Raid Training Mode: Settings reset every time its menu is opened
  • Solo Raid Album: Heroic VII completion is not displayed correctly
  • Solo Raid Re-roll: There is no warning confirmation pop-up after pressing the button
  • League Raid: During the Brainiac boss phases, several abilities are not working correctly
  • HUD: Power bar appears inverted in certain situations, along with other HUD and resolution-specific issues
  • HUD: In One-Handed Mode, the Supermove button overlaps the Special Attack buttons
  • Orm: HIs Electrify no longer stacks up to 20 at Passive levels below Level 7
  • Zatanna’s Puppet: Debuff timers are merging together - only the icons were intended to merge, not the individual effect durations
  • Lex Luthor: Issues with chaining his basic combos, and opponents are able to block his attacks mid-combo
  • Blue Beetle: Incorrect character model scaling during the fight intro

Beyond the bugs listed above, we’ve also been carefully reviewing your reactions to the new Solo Raid reward system. We hear the concerns, especially from newer players, that while the system is an improvement overall, it can feel more challenging than intended during early progression.

To provide more clarity, the design team would like to share some additional context:

1. The patch update will include more ways to earn Vault Keys through gameplay, which will be especially helpful for newer players. This will help them progress through a Level 1 Vault faster.

2. We are working on balance passes to the existing Artifact Sets to make some of the lesser used Artifacts more useful. The first pass of this was included in the 6.6 release with the updates to the Apokolips Artifact Set. The other Artifacts sets will be rebalanced in future major releases, but will take some time. For now, we recommend not rushing to shatter your existing Artifacts.

Thank you again for your feedback, passion, and continued support. We’ll keep listening and sharing updates as we move forward.

As always, thank you for playing Injustice 2 Mobile!
